The campus community is invited to attend the student design presentations for the proposed Westside Community Connector Bridge. Five teams consisting of students from the School of Architecture and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering will present their ideas to inspire an exciting footbridge concept to connect Georgia Tech’s core campus to local westside communities.

Panelists will select a first, second, and third place winner for monetary awards. 

Panelists include a cross section from campus and the local community:

  • Daniel Baerlechen, Associate Professor, School of Architecture
  • Lauren Stewart, Williams Family Associate Professor; Interim Associate Chair for Graduate Programs and Research Innovation; and Director of the Structural Engineering and Materials Laboratory
  • Tony Zivalich, Associate Vice President for Real Estate Development
  • Gilbert Delgado, Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design, and Construction; Infrastructure and Sustainability
  • Dan Nemec, Associate Director for Strategic Planning; Infrastructure and Sustainability
  • Jason Gregory, Assistant Director of Environmental Planning; Infrastructure and Sustainability
  • Jim Case, Senior Principal with Uzun+Case and Georgia Tech Adjunct Professor
  • Katherine Lynch, Senior Vice President, Trammell Crow Company
