Right Is Right – Even if No One Is Doing It
Presented by Aaron Beam, Co-Founder and former Chief Financial Officer of HealthSouth Corporation
Aaron Beam was the co-founder and first CFO at HealthSouth Corporation where he witnessed first-hand the series of accounting, stock manipulation, and leadership failures that led HealthSouth to the $2 billion securities fraud scandal. Aaron’s story goes from the heights of success, followed by the unethical and illegal mistakes that resulted in his professional downfall which resulted in serving three months in federal prison for his role in approving fraudulent financial data. Through his “Ethics First” message, Aaron identifies early warning signs, influences, and the bad choices he and others made at HealthSouth, allowing the audience to apply what they learn to their business practices and their organization's culture and environment.
